BAY CITIES ENTERS THE WORLD OF DIGITAL PRINTING

November 5, 2012-Los Angeles, CA- Bay Cities has entered the world of “direct to substrate” digital printing. Our recently installed Hewlett Packard FB700 large format flatbread UV printer enables us to print directly onto various substrates with precision printing. The FB700 can handle a sheet size up to 90 inches wide by 110 inches long. Bay Cities can now offer a best of class solution comprised of the HP FB700 UV printer and eliminate the lithography label cost.

The FB700 allows six color process opportunities without having to outsource the labels from lithographers. This is a short run process with quantities of about 1 – 150. Bay Cities is now offering their customers the opportunity for a four color display without tooling. The printer also offers various modes tailored to our customers’ budgets, including low, medium, and high resolution options.

With the addition of our digital printer, Bay Cities is now able to print on a wider variety of substrates. These include corrugate, foam core, sbs/cardstock, corrugated plastic, polished metal, Plexiglas, acrylic, aluminum, glass, PVC, plywood, dibond, PolyCarbonate sheet, and Polysterene sheet. With the FB700 Bay Cities also has the ability to print banners and canvas as well.

Bay Cities was looking for technology to immediately and easily integrate into our business which would provide increased opportunities to exceed our clients’ expectations. We believe to have found this with the installation of the Hewlett Packard FB700 UV printer.
