Bay Cities Exceeds Its Last Two Scores in Most Recent GMP Inspection

Pico Rivera, California (June 6th, 2017)—Bay Cities, a premier designer and manufacturer of point-of-purchase displays, retail packaging, and digital printing has successfully passed their Good Manufacturing Practices Certification presented by AIB International.

The corrugate industry leader exceeded their score from the previous two years, netting an overall score of 200 for Operational Methods and Personnel Practices, 195 for Maintenance for Food Safety, 200 for Cleaning Practices, 195 for Integrate Pest Management, and 175 for Adequacy of Prerequisite and Food Safety Programs for an overall score of 965.

AIB International provides several audits and comprehensive resources to the distribution and food manufacturing industries and their suppliers. AIB’s audit inspection services include the GMP Inspection, HACCP Accreditation, and Quality System Audits, to name a few. A good inspection score means that an organization adheres to safe and strict guidelines to deliver safe products to the public. The highest possible score for an AIB inspection is 1,000. A passing score for GMP testing is 700, meaning Bay Cities garnered a nearly perfect score.

Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines offer guidance for testing, manufacturing and quality control to ensure that a product is safe for human consumption. These guidelines provide the minimum requirements a manufacturer must meet to prevent their product(s) from posing any risk to the public.
