Stories of #WFH – 11

Melissa – Packout

What is your #WFH routine?

Wake up and coffee at 4-5 am.

Email catch up and check in with Bentonville teams.

Open up the driveway office and plug in the power.

Packout team FaceTime everyday at 8:30 am on Microsoft Teams.

How the rest of the day unfolds is always an adventure.

What is your favorite part about #WFH?

The ability to multi-task household/personal responsibilities during the day as time permits rather than segmented into before 8 am or after 6 pm and the happiness my Frenchie has because he sees me all the time.

What is the most challenging part about #WFH?

Keeping work-space and volume levels separated from my partner who is also working from home. We are both quite loud – sometimes.

My Frenchie – because he sees me all the time he does not understand why he can’t be on my lap ALL-THE-TIME.

How are you staying fit?

Bike rides and walks

(please interpret above responses as a loose generalization of the assumption “staying” 😊)

What is your socializing strategy?

Facetime and Houseparty with family and friends. Social-distance driveway bonfire and projector movie night, and group chats with family and work teams.

How do you buy necessities?

We are fortunate to have grocery delivery available and use that for most things. Curbside pick up is available close by for fresh/local veggies. Trips to the store as necessary with all PPE precautions but we try to make our necessities last as long as possible so we don’t have to resupply too often.

What is your biggest take away from #WFH?

Resilience and creative problem solving are really important life skills!
