The Opportunity:
ALP was looking for a way to translate its strong brand recognition and loyal online following into an equally impactful retail presence in the highly competitive convenience store channel. With limited space and numerous products competing for attention at the point of purchase, ALP needed a compact counter display that could command visibility, showcase its distinctive branding, and help its growing assortment stand out where convenience store shoppers make quick purchasing decisions.
The Solution:
Bay Cities developed compact, eye-catching two- and three-tier counter displays designed to give ALP a strong branded presence within the limited footprint of a convenience store counter. Digital printing provided the flexibility to use the same display structure across multiple SKUs, flavors, and product launches while changing the graphics as needed. It also allowed different artwork versions to be produced together in combination runs without additional print setup, helping streamline production and manage overall project costs. This agile approach gives ALP the ability to refresh its counter presence for new products and promotions, including newer product lines, while maintaining a consistent and recognizable display format.
The Result:
The program has grown into an ongoing flow of ALP counter displays shipping to convenience stores across the country, helping the brand extend its identity from digital channels to a highly visible point-of-purchase position in physical retail. The display has also taken on a second life beyond the convenience store: ALP offers a limited-edition, prepacked two-tier version directly to consumers through its website, turning a piece of retail merchandising into an extension of the brand experience itself. For convenience retailers and brands alike, the program demonstrates how a small retail footprint can make a big impact when compact structural design, bold branding, and flexible digital production work together.
